Carved in 2006, Ichabod  was hand carved except for in the  ruffles and under beard area, that was mostly done with Foredom power tool and bur bits.

On average it takes 3 months for a carving this size if worked on continuously,  or around 300 hours.

Top photo shows carving block bolted to positioner for ease of holding work in any direction, made of welded 1 1/2" square tube steel, base will accept a pallet jack for moving. The positioner can hold up to 500 lbs in any direction.
