Honduras mahogany is not the best carving wood and has a tendency for weakness in some areas. This carving cracked down the back while in process. A V-wedge area from back of the neck down 16" was cut out, and a matching wedge inlay glued in, the repair  is negligible and has been stable since its completion in 2006.
